Mims Recycling of Ruston, LLC began in 2014. The family-owned company brings together scrap metal recycling, rolloff container service, and demolition experience from its Ruston yard.
For Drew Mims, the work started long before a job title. Growing up around his parents' demolition projects, he went on to clean nonferrous metals after school, operate equipment, and join the company full time after graduating high school in 2018.
In a 2024 Recycling Today interview, Drew described taking on ownership and daily operations while his parents remained involved. That family foundation continues to shape the Mims approach: direct communication and practical help with your material.
